NTS Digital and Data team members recently took part in Girl Geeks Hackathon 2019 and NTS was a Gold Sponsor for this event. GirlGeeksHack was a 24 hour hackathon to promote women in tech organised by IEEE Computer Society, Bangalore chapter and the event took place in PES University, Electronic City campus. The IEEE Computer Society is the world’s leading membership organization dedicated to computer science and technology. Serving more than 60,000 members, the IEEE Computer Society is the trusted information, networking, and career-development source for a global community of technology leaders that includes researchers, educators, software engineers, IT professionals, employers and students. Participants comprising of students as well as professionals were all set to prove their mettle in this event !
Two teams from NTS took part in the Girl Geeks Hack 2019 – team Innovation Geeks and team Freakin’ Awesomes! In an effort to highlight the impact that women can have in engineering, a minimum of 50% of the members of all participating teams were women. There were a total of four participants in each team out of which 50% of the team members were women.
Participants from NTS were Shafiqa Mustafa, Rajeswari P, Mubarak Hussain,Prem Tiwari, Rupam Kumari, Arthi Ganesan, Hari Sukumar Mandava and Pavan Vupputuri. It’s so amazing to see our team members showing their interest in such fun and knowledgeable event. A huge shout out to team “Innovation Geeks” from NTS on winning the third place! Well done team! You definitely made us proud.
